Popular Mission in Chillum

From June 9th through the 19th, Fr. Gustavo Domenech preached a popular mission at St. John Baptist de la Salle Parish in Chillum, MD.

During the morning and afternoon, a group of seminarians, sisters, and lay persons went door-to-door inviting people to attend the mission, handing out holy cards, rosaries, and talking to the people about the Catholic faith.

They also blessed the homes of many people who lived in the surrounding areas and took the names and phone numbers of the people who were interested in returning to the Church, or receiving the sacraments or taking part in the one of the many programs offered by the Parish.

The missionaries were made up of seminarians of the Fulton Sheen House of Formation. Fr Domenech was assisted by our newly ordained deacon, Juan Pablo Domínguez. Sisters of the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara also helped in the mission.

We give thanks to God for the blessings we have received during this time of mission in our Parish.
