Relic of Mary Magdalene

On Tuesday February 22 a relic of St Mary Magdalene was exhibited at  St Leo the Great Parish in San Jose, CA.

Fr. François LeHégaret, a French Dominican priest, brought the precious relic in a reliquary that is on tour in California.

About 300 to 400 people gathered in the short two hours the relic of the St. Mary Magdalene, the first witness to the Resurrection, was in our church. Fr. LeHégaret preached at Mass, and then the faithful had the opportunity to pray and venerate the relic, a piece of the saint's tibia.

We consider this event to be a special grace, and we took this opportunity to ask the saint to intercede for the many needs in our community.
