Mission Chronicles - Africa

Fr. Fuentes and Fr. Johntin in TanzaniaThe priests of the Institute of the Incarnate Word can be found in any one of forty countries around the world from Argentina, to Germany, to Russia, and even Taiwan, Papa New Guinea, Greenland, and Iceland. They will sometimes document their experiences in these foreign lands in their Missionary Chronicles which we have now made available to you.

As a recent addition to our website, we have included a Chronicle Section which can be found under the vocations tab on the top of the screen. Over time we will periodically add more chronicles to the section as they are written by our priests.

Currently we have two Mission Chronicles available. Fr. Rafael Fuentes wrote one about his experiences in the first few months he was in Africa and his new assignment in Tanzania. Fr. Daniel Cima wrote a chronicle about the recent bombings against Christians that have been carried out in Egypt. He focused on the attacks that were perpetuated on New Year’s against Christians of the Coptic rite.

Please keep these missionaries and all missionaries around the world in your prayers as they struggle to bring the Word of God to all peoples and nations.
